Insurance and Billing
Chicago Psych Therapy Group is in-network with several major insurance providers. We are happy to verify your benefits prior to your first session and will file claims on your behalf for in-network plans.

Please note that coverage and copay amounts vary based on your plan and deductible. We recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to confirm coverage for outpatient mental health services prior to your first appointment.
Out-of-Network
If we are not in-network with your insurance plan, you may still be able to use your benefits through out-of-network reimbursement. We can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company for partial reimbursement, depending on your plan’s out-of-network benefits.
Private Pay / Self-Pay
If you prefer to pay out of pocket, we offer self-pay rates for therapy sessions.
Self-pay clients may also be eligible for our Sliding Scale or Pro Bono options (see below for details).
Sliding Scale
We believe therapy should be accessible while remaining sustainable for our clinicians. For clients who are uninsured or paying out of pocket, we offer a sliding scale rate based on 10% of your average weekly income, with a minimum session fee of $75.
Example:
If your weekly income is $800, your session rate would be approximately $80.
Sliding scale options are not available for clients using insurance plans. These reduced rates are reserved for self-pay and out-of-network clients only.
We also offer pro bono therapy with our supervised intern when available. These sessions are limited and provided under the supervision of a licensed clinician.
Sliding scale and pro bono spots are limited and based on therapist and intern openings. If you would like to explore these options, please contact our office to discuss eligibility.
Proof of income may be requested to determine eligibility. Sliding scale rates are reviewed periodically to ensure fairness and consistency.
